8/1/25: I forgot how much I loved this album. This definitely has a nostaglic advantage for me because it immediately takes me back to being 17 and listening to it on an endless loop. Even then, I still think it stands on its own as a solid pop rock album. It does make me a bit bummed about the direction of Harry Styles' releases after this, seeing as he opted to go down the pop route and largely left his indie rock sound behind. There are just so many exciting songs on this album and I think he could've made a really unique impact on modern music by continuing down this path, but I digress. Even though there are a few sleepers on this one, the energy and strength of the majority of the tracks make it stand out. Only Angel, Woman, and Carolina are just so damn fun. Makes my directioner heart shine...
