Fragile (1971) — Yes

I hate when I want to like an album, but just can't. That was unforunately the case with this album.

It's weird because Prog Rock really seems like a genre made for me, but I struggle to connect with it. With this album specifically, I felt like it was an awesome display of skill, but not much else.

The first song was SO good, but then everything else was kinda just more of the same thing. I will acknowledge that listening to this in 2025 is probably a very different experience than listening to it when it originally came out. Maybe it would've wowed me more in 1971.

For now, I find myself pretty neutral on this album and on Yes as an artist, but still want to explore more of their stuff to see if I enjoy any of their other work.
