7/31/25: This album was recommended to me by Wave, the manager of Sound Spectrum in Laguna Beach, who said that this was one of his top three albums ever made. I was already excited going into it, but still it exceeded my expectations. This album is heavy in meaning, but light in sound. It balances lyrics that mull over mortality and the everpresence of evil and violence in the world with a folk-psychedelic fusion that really creates something completely unique to the time. A lot of the themes still feel deeply relevant today, and the last track really left me with so much to think about, the perfect bookend to the messages of the album. This is one of those albums you really have to set time aside to listen to, at least the first time. I bet eventually it'll enter my casual rotation, but for now, this is a album that requires at least a couple of completely locked in sessions. Really though, I do think this may be a perfect album.
