Faith (1987) — George Michael

I had lots of fun with this album! It was more meaningful and less formulaic than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It's interesting how the album starts with its two biggest singles, but it did sort of get them out of the way so you could focus more on the rest of the songs. Even so, I go freaking crazy for "Father Figure" every time.

There were a few parts that lagged a bit, but they were all almost immediately followed by a vibe switch that brought me right back. I'm just such a George Michael stan that I think I would probably enjoy anything he's ever done. He might be my favorite gay boy to ever do it. Also listening to this album with the knowledge that he was gay adds so much depth that I bet wasn't as apparent when it first came out. I LOVE YOU, GEORGE MICHAEL <3
