Cool for Cats (1979) — Squeeze

I wanted to like this album more than I did. I heard "Up the Junction" and enjoyed it, so decided to check out the whole album, but it just wasn't for me. It felt evocative, but like a late Beatles, early new wave collage that lacked any sort of unique perspective.

Some songs were fun, and I appreciated the production, especially the addition of bells! That was extra fun! I also liked how silly the album was, both in music and lyrics. It's one of those things where there are definitely songs I like, but it just doesn't work for me as an album.
