8/6/25: This album is capital H Haunting! (In the best possible way). It's so eery and soft, but still leaves a substantial impact. The lore behind this album reminded me of Connie Converse, and I really think the sound is reminscient of her too. Why don't we have a government agency dedicated to unearthing unknown music made by women of the past?? It seems to be a very worthwhile endeavor. When I'm president that'll be my first executive order... Anyway, this album was just lovely. It felt like laying in a field of wheat on a warm, but not too warm, day, and letting the breeze tickle your skin as it floats by. I just know this one will be a key part of my fall rotation once summer is over. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.
