Bookends (1968) — Simon & Garfunkel

Bookends, oh, Bookends. What an album you are... From start to finish, this album is a poetic and musical triumph. Bookends is like if melancholy was an album. There's an array of emotions within it, some jovial and lively, others withdrawn and mournful. I think every song could be argued to be one of the best songs ever made, which is why this album is easily one of my very favorites.
